Stake Goals
I am a disciple of Jesus Christ
"Our Stake Vision is: To become disciples of Jesus Christ, to enjoy the blessing of the Temple, and to invite others to become true followers of Jesus Christ."

As President McKean shared in a recent email to the members of our stake, Elder Kevin W. Pearson, President of the Utah Area Presidency, has counseled stake leaders in our area to focus our efforts on becoming more like the Savior throughout the year. Following this inspired counsel, our stake presidency is inviting every member of the stake to sincerely pray daily and regularly fast for three things: (1) the gift of charity; (2) the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost; and (3) that the Lord will bring people into our stake who will be receptive to the gospel. We are certain that as each of us regularly pray for these blessings and act in faith to receive them, the Lord will bless us in our efforts.
1
We will live the gospel of Jesus Christ by:
-
Strengthening our faith in our Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the atonement by regularly studying the Book of Mormon and by honoring the Sabbath Day.
-
Strengthening ourselves and our families by receiving the ordinances of exaltation and keeping the associated covenants.
2
We will hasten the work and share the gospel by:
Praying for and loving our neighbors
Inviting friends and neighbors to enjoy the blessings of the gospel
Teaching repentance and baptizing converts
Reaching out to less-active members
3
We will care for the poor and needy by:
-
Building spiritual and temporal self-reliance
-
Living the law of the fast and serving others
4
We will enable the salvation of the dead by:
-
Finding family names and taking them to the temple to perform ordinances
-
Encouraging others to do family history work
2 Nephi 25:26
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."
